When using UAD plugins, they consume CPU even when powered off/bypassed. It would be great if MUX had a 'disable plugin' feature that would keep it in the graph but disable the plugin. Kushview Element has this, as well as Bitwig. This would really help when managing the resource usage of these plugins.
If there is already some way to do this, please let me know. Thanks.
MUX feature request: disable plugin

Hm, this does not seem to work for the UAD plugins using this green button:
When off, it still uses UAD CPU (can be seen in UAD's DSP meter). Reaper calls this bringing the effect 'offline', and that seems to release UAD CPU, similar to 'Disabled' in Bitwig.

Oh ok now i see what you mean.
Indeed no such feature yet.
But what you could try is this: Insert a "Plugin Slot" and insert your UAD plugin into that plugin slot.
That will already make it easier to preserve the plugin graph while deleting the UAD plugin when you want so.
