16 tracks - all with auto align (different groupings).
the auto align did help a lot with the phasing. what also happened was my Master channel rose 1.7db because of this. is this normal? there shouldnt be any gain added to the signal by auto align, should there?

...since the wave forms are now "aligned" there would be an additive effect, so yes, gain would occur/be observed.../s~

thank you! makes sense now. the phase cancelled state was quieter because of the cancellations. now that they are removed the signal returns. thank you for making sense of that to me.
