Drum Computer - lock kit while changing pattern?

I'm sure I knew how to do this but I can't find it now...is it (was it?) possible? Can't find it n the manual. I know we can lock the pattern while changing kits with the pin button.

Thanks - that locks the pattern while changing kits - I want to lock the kit while changing patterns.
