Im not able to assign separate midi channels to individual devices or sounds. I assign a different channel to each sound but each individual sound responds to what ever channel i choose on my launchpad as long as that sound is highlighted . How do I disable the “focused module” setting and activate multiple channels at once , like Ableton does, then assign a different midi channel to each one ? Why is this basic procedure so complicated on Mutools when its easy in other daws ? Ive set the target channels and modules but it never works. Its a bit ridiculous i have to join a forum to figure out such a basic procedure but if anyone can help figure out what im apparently doing wrong I would appreciate it . Thanks

Project menu -> Untick "Auto MIDI Input Focus"
Project menu -> MIDI Input Channel Targets.and activate multiple channels at once , like Ableton does, then assign a different midi channel to each one ?
There you can define which channels should be mapped to which module.
I think the answer is: Because there are many many use cases and now you are focusing on your use case but other users focus on their use case. That's where flexibility steps in. The price of flexibility often is complication, unfortunately. Fixed behavior without freedom often is easier, but even more often not appreciated. Why is this basic procedure so complicated on Mutools when its easy in other daws ?
MuLab defaults to the use case of a user with MIDI keyboard who wants to play what is selected.
That's what the "Focused MIDI Input Target" does.
Feel free to share a little zipped MuProject or a screen video that demonstrates the issue you're encountering. Then i can see where it doesn't work as you expect.Ive set the target channels and modules but it never works.
It's good you joined this forum and asked the questionIts a bit ridiculous i have to join a forum to figure out such a basic procedure but if anyone can help figure out what im apparently doing wrong I would appreciate it . Thanks

I am a fan of MuTools for sure as it has a particular sound and feel I like. Just a bit different approach to figure out , That seq/arppegio is great.
