MSaturatorMB and antialiasing

I'm a bit confused as to what the 'Antialiasing' button is doing in MSaturatorMB. In the video below, when I push a sine signal into it with 5x oversampling and 'Antialiasing' button on, there is some noise in higher frequencies. When I go to 1x with the button on, those frequencies go away.
When I turn off the 'Antialiasing' button and use 5x oversampling, there are no high frequencies showing up. Should this button not be used when oversampling?

my simple guess would be that 'antialiasing' is a high pass filter, and perhaps goes up with oversampling? or it is a different kind of anti-aliasing.valankar wrote: Mon Feb 21, 2022 5:16 pm I'm a bit confused as to what the 'Antialiasing' button is doing in MSaturatorMB. but the simple answer is: anti-aliasing is meant for, when you don't use oversampling. or it does not need oversampling... (and it seems to work not wel...).
if you use oversampling don't use anti-aliasing. and the other way around.

Are you using a sub bass to test this? Try a higher frequency test tone. Aliasing happens when the sample rate can't deal with the faster frequency - you don't approach nyquist in this example.

Please find the Reaper project attached. With v15.01 the Span output looks like:MeldaProduction wrote: Tue Mar 08, 2022 2:27 pm Well, I tried and found not such thing, please send the project over, I think it will be something else.
When I switch to v15.02, the problem goes away with the exact same project:
So it looks to me there was a bug in v15.01?

Seems like a resolved bug indeed. Testing on 16.00a, no problems.
