I am trying to figure out how to configure KUIML so that it basically does what the Global Skin does, in terms of loading the parameters automatically into the configuration as configured...but WITHOUT the upper preset toolbar...

Is this easily configurable, or does anyone know if a hacked down version of the default.xml will do it? I'm not smart enough yet to figure out how to do that kind of thing with KUIML, just wondering if someone has done it already or if there is an easy way to do this for scripts where I don't need to acess presets and I just want the most simply GUI possible, showing only the parameter controls.

I realize I can manually build up a GUI with KUIML instead of getting the automatic behavior, by creating a KUIML skin from scratch, but most of the time I don't really need a totally custom GUI, the default parameter controls are completely fine, but I just want to exclude that upper toolbar somehow.

You indeed need to "hack" the skin. You can probably completely remove the TOOLBAR element in the layout file, or edit the toolbar.inc file located inside the Modern-Theme directory.

I had a hard time trying to remove toolbar from the default skin. So Letimix skin is made totally modular, you can use only what you need.
