Option to turn off named notes pop up on midi/step clips in W12?

I'm using the dedicated midi editor, not inline (im using the "inline editing disabled" setting, and have "show midi editor toolbar" disabled), but the named note pop up on step clips keeps appearing and getting in the way of moving clips, and well, everything else i want to do on that track.
Sometimes it appears above multiple clips (Which is probably a bug right?)

Is there an option to disable it? Presumably it should just not show if inline editing is disabled?
