Hi everybody,

this is Powermetal114 from Bavaria, Germany.

I'm here mainly because I cover songs and I need some Help analysing them music-theoretically.



I'm working on learning more theory and one of the things I'm doing is deconstructing songs - not to a point of proper "analysis" yet, still just "what key, what notes, etc."

One thing I'm finding is that I'll run into things that seem interesting or provoke my curiosity - "what's going on there? Why did they do THAT?".
Thus I would be grateful of any help.

You'll have to be more specific regarding songs and passages. I'm quite familiar with the Power Metal genre, and I assume that's what you're playing, so I should be able to help.
