The NKS technology is based on the VST2 plugin format.
If you want to use the plugins inside an NKS host, you have to install the VST2 version of the plugins.
Please run the installer for the plugins again, this time make sure you keep the VST2 option selected.
And make sure the VST2 plugin files get installed into a location that Komplete Kontrol scans for installed plugins.

and get rid of vst3 plugin versions (even if they are in other locations, they can cause trouble in Komplete Kontrol)

Ah, thanks! I don't installed vst2. I am always use VST3. Seems that I need to install VST2 as well. Will try! Thanks!

Hello, it seems that there is another new issue with the Diva inside the Komplete Kontrol since the last KK update 2.8.0 where they dropped the VST2 support. Any news when this will get fixed and the VST3 version of Diva would load inside the KK?

The current KK (2.8.1) loads the current Diva VST3 instead of VST2. We released this a few months ago. It wasn't a real version update from our side, we just added a special file that KK requires. This was last October or November.

Is this on Windows? Afaik the fix was just for Mac where VST3 is mandatory in AS native mode, on Windows you may still need to use the VST2

Hello there,

I'm currently having issues opening any of the nks presets from KK 2.9.3, under macOS Montery (Intel arch). I have NOT installed the VST2 version as I'm trying to get rid of VST2 when the VST3 is available. Messages above state that VST3 should work now but for me it doesn't, it says "DIVA could not be loaded", any clue ?
This thread viewtopic.php?t=576543
says that VST2 should be installed as well, which is a bit weird :/
And when I do that, KK clearly loads the VST2, which is not what I want

Thanks :D

BTW not sure where the issue is, on KK side or DIVA, but some enum parameters can't be knob assigned properly in the VST3 (trying to make my own template in the mean time): when you turn the knob from inside DIVA, the knob in KK moves, but the opposite doesn't do anything: tune 1/2/3, LFO rate, ...
It works though for PB up and PB down, for voices and stacks.
As well, some LED buttons are behaving erratically (polarity, microtuning), they flicker when I turn the corresponding knob in KK.
Sorry that's a bit of a chaotic message, feel free to ask me for more details if need be.
Cheers,

On IntelMac you might have to hold out a little longer with VST2 for NKS.

What?
I am a cubendo user who also uses KK, I have never had an issue either on mac or pc with vst3 plugin being installed causing issues.
What issues were you having?

This is not weird at all.
NKS was developed using VST2 as the base.
Up until some time late last year, every plugin you ever used via NKS had to be a VST2 plugin.

Also you can only export to NKS from the VST2 at the moment (for the same reason). If you are not on Apple Silicon I’d stick with VST2 (and CLAP if using a CLAP host).

Yep, I know, just saying that, opposite to what has been mentioned above, the VST3 never get loaded as all the nksf were made for VST2 under my macintel. And there are some issues with knob assignments when trying to create a template on VST3.
The other issue is that I also have a M1 mac, and on this one, none of the nks will load as KK doesn't even propose to load VST2 anymore, so DIVA can't be used with existing NKS at all. I know we're in a transition phase, but I choose that exact moment to buy a Komplete S61 MK2 lol.

We have addressed that many months ago... with the latest Komplete Kontrol software and our current installers, NKS will work just fine with Diva on M1.

That said, yes, there is a transition phase and we're happy to say that we set all things in motion to accomplish this within the next few months.
