HI there. I am working on music that requires a simple vocoder that combines my own synth and a vocal channel. On pc, i was using MDA Talkbox a free plugin. and the result was nice. but i am now on Mac and there is no updated version for mac so i had to find a replacement. i realized that i purchased MVocoder years ago and never used it. i was excited because it would let me combine my own two channels like MDA Talkbox did. Unfortunately when testing it, the results were.. far worse than what i had on MDA Talkbox. but i am sure i am just doing something wrong and it probably (hopefully) isnt the fault of MVocoder. following instructions, i put the MVocoder on the synth channel (sylenth1), and then side chain/route the vocal channel to the synth/vocoder channel. i have attached to this message two bounces with dropbox links. one of the MDA Talkbox that i had on PC, and then the same synth and vocal running through your MVocoder plugin. The MDA one sounds clear and crisp, and the MVocoder one sounds extremely odd, with strange boosted resonance at 300hz for some reason and overall very low quality and muffled, and sounds like its in a box. i tried turning every knob to fix this including the whitening knob, and just trying default settings. nothing helps me get it to sound normal. hopefully you can assist me.
