Beat Replace Drum Loop Issue

In Waveform 12 when I select a drum loop and use the "beat replace drum loop" feature under Multi Sampler it tries to open it within the rompler plugin instead of the multi sampler plugin. It used to open it in multi sampler and slice the audio so that it could be converted to midi. Is anyone having this issue or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated

I don't have an answer for you, but wanted to thank you for pointing out the feature. I've been scratching my head over simple beat replacement without wanting to buy one of the plugins that have so many other (admittedly cool, but unnecessary in my case) features. I'll see what I can make of the feature and report here if I experience a similar issue.

Ok I figured out how to reproduce. Select an audio clip on a track and choose "beat replace drum loop" under the multi-sampler menu in the properties panel. Yes, My version of Waveform (12.0.53 on MacOS 12.3.1) also opens the Rompler plugin instead of Multisampler. Unfortunately, I don't have a workaround since I've never used the feature.

Yes that's exactly the behavior I get in the same version only using Windows 10 instead of Mac. The feature really is useful when it works as you can get similar results without having to use Slates Trigger or other software. For now I guess ill just download Trigger 2 Free edition until they can iron this bug out.

OK. I tried to just do it manually by loading a drum loop into the RECORD tab of the Multi Sampler. Upon multiple attempts, I was able to get the Multi Sampler to create the slices and save them to the scratch pad, but just pressing the play button to listen to either a slice or the whole thing causes a crash. Hard to pinpoint the problem, or if this is even related to the OP, but it looks like the Multi Sampler is having some issues.

I confirm too! the play button and crash.

'Press play buttons' crash also confirmed on Ubuntu 20.04 OS. However I can "beat replace drum loop" with no problems, i.e it open in the multi sampler.
