Notes getting stuck on.

I have a song with a string track using ST2LE. I have rendered the song about 10 times and the same note is always stuck on at the end. It is the same during playback. The only way the note does not get stuck on is if I start it playing toward the end of the song. So far I can see no way around it except to try rendering the song in two halves and joining them. But there must be an easier way.

You could try deleting that note - starting from the last time it's played - until you find the one that's sticking. I know that sounds illogical but I've seen it happen before, and this is how I fixed it. Once you've deleted the offending note, it seems you can add (draw or play) it back in and it's fine.morelia wrote:I have a song with a string track using ST2LE. The soft quantize can be the culprit too. Atleast in my experience. I dont know why, but sometimes when I use it, I get hung notes.
By soft I mean the non sticky type. Its better to select all the notes and use the sticky quantize.

I have deleted the note and put it back. I know which one it is and I want to keep it there. I have tried shortening it just a little. I haven't quantised it at all but I'll have a look into that. I guess it could be set to quantise without my knowing right??? Anyway thanks for the suggestions. I'll get back on the case.

You're onto it. I had done that for the preceding clip but not for the rest of the song. I went right back to the start extending the end of each clip, deleting content I don't need and problem solved.AD80 wrote:Try clicking on the clip and "delete content beyond and end of clip". It could help if some notes are going slightly beyond the end of a clip. I havent had any stuck notes in quite a long time tho so I'm not sure. Good luck.
Thanks for the help.

Nice one! Thanks again.AD80 wrote:Nice! Glad it helped. Instead of extending the clip and deleting the stuff manually I just go to "delete content" and then "delete content beyond start and end of clip". Its the same thing but a little faster.
