Add lead-in time at export

I think I recall a discussion about the option to add some silence at the beginning of the track when exporting. I now have installed Waveform 12 but can't find it. Did this ever get implemented?

I don't believe so...I think that discussion happened right about the time v12 was just about final, so it didn't make it in. I haven't seen it, certainly.
I still think a -1 measure is what's needed. That allows you to do silence, as well as structure half-measure lead ins, etc. That's the right way to do it.

But a full measure is way too much. I just want to avoid that the attack of the first note gets cut at streaming services like Soundcloud.Watchful wrote: Thu Jun 02, 2022 7:12 pm I still think a -1 measure is what's needed. Understood--but you can change the duration of a measure to fit exactly the gap you want. Although, again, I hear you: if all you need is a half-second, you should be able to specify that precisely.

I suppose if you COULD have a -1 measure, you could then select from, like, the 4th beat of that to the end as a region to export... ?

True, and I like that. But Stuttaton's idea is good as well. In his case, he states things well enough, but I could also see someone working with video that might need a precise time code to synchronize audio against...where you could pick (say) 0.51s of silence.
So i think both are needed.
