Every other softsynth works just fine. Omnisphere won't play a sound (I just reinstalled it, and it works great in StudioOne Pro).
I enabled HW mode and it makes a default init sound and the controls move - but don't change the sound. I disable the HW mode and it stops making any sound.

Same here. No sound with MIDI, but triggering a patch directly from Omnisphere UI plays back properly.
Which version of Omnisphere you're using? I still have Omnisphere 1 (v1.5.8d) and I'm wondering if update to to Omnisphere 2 would fix the problem.
