Question for Mr Melda about MCompressor

Hi Mr Melda,

I have a feature request for MCompressor:

Could we please have a stereo link mix control on MCompressor?

At the moment it's all or nothing, either linked or 100% unlinked.

But it would be great to, for example have 50% linked.

I guess it's possible to hack something together in MXXX using two Mcompressors and a mix control (if anyone knows how to do that, please let me know), but that's a but fiddly and it would be cool to have it natively inside MComp.

I have an endless choice of compressors, both hardware and software, but MComp really is my favorite, apart from this one little issue.

The only thing is that MXXX doesn't seem to let us assign MPs to any of the compressor sidechain functions which means you'll have to go in there manually for that. Same goes for transformation curves (though you can enable the custom curve with an MP, the nodes aren't multiseg addressable).

Thanks, that works.

But it's really the manual adjustment of the transformation curve that makes MComp special, that's why i'd love to see it just built natively into MComp.

If you use the Dynamics module, you can assign sidechain parameters and the processing shape nodes to multi-parameters too.

But it's still not as user friendly as what Mr D is asking for.
