Had a crash didn't save, where are the backups?

Please tell me MuLab creates backups. The project file itself is a saved file, I just didn't save after a few hours of work.
Now, luckily if there is no backups then it's not a big loss. But definitely MuLab should be making backups at least every 10 minutes as the most possible time to go without backing up. I usually do 2 minutes in Reaper.

There indeed is an auto-save function.
See the preference "Auto-Save Time-Out"
Auto-saved projects are in your MuLab/ser/MuProject/AutoSaved sub-folder
When MuLab crashes it will try to save the project as Crashed.MuProject in that same sub-folder.
If you encounter a crash please send the respective MuLab log file to
If you're on Windows also include the Windows Event Viewer crash report.
If you're on Mac also include the Mac crash report.
Please also give a description of when the crash happens.
And if the crash is repeatable please list the steps how to repeat it.
Thanks.

What if the crash is from a plugin? Earlier I was demoing a plugin that crashed too often to be usable.
This crash was while I was messing with Ohmicide parameters. Ohmicide has never crashed on me in other daws so I guess I'll send a report that.

The same applies in that case.
Note that MuLab cannot catch all crashes (C++ exceptions)
Never use instable plugins during music making!Earlier I was demoing a plugin that crashed too often to be usable.

I wasn't. I demoed it first, realized it was too crashy and didn't use it, then spent a few hours not saving and another unexpected plugin crashed.
Also, I don't have a backup after 2 hours but MuLab was set to backup every 15 minutes by default. Very odd. I changed it to 3 minuets and it saved me already.
crashy plugin: https://nuspaceaudio.com/2017/05/16/muz ... rb-plugin/ (mess with all parameters, but focus on blue knobs and eventually it will crash)
still need to work out more info on this crashing: https://www.ohmforce.com/ohmicide just randomly crashes messing with parameters.
I'll make a proper crash report at some point.

If the crashes are inside a plugin please send the crash report to the plugin developer. I can only r&f pure MuLab crashes.
