So i'm trying to get a simple pitch "slide" to make the pitch go down when i let go of a key or when a midi note ends (basically to get the pitching just on the tail - the Release parameter of the envelope) but so that the pitch stays uneffected by the pitch envelope when the key is held (on sustain) and i cant just simply use an envelope and mudulate tune with it because it does what i don't want it to do.
I figured out a "work around" but it requires transposing the oscilator (up or down depending on the adsr settings and mod polarity) because when i assign an envelope to modulate the tune parameter it changes the pitch of the oscilator when i turn the knob and when the knob is at center the modulation is not happening (obviously) and there is no way to set the ammount of modulation at zero on sustain so it's impossible to just modulate the release and make it shift down a few semitones JUST on release. :shrug: Also the knob has to be 100% to the left or to the right in order for the oscilator to stay in tune, other values detune it and the pitch of whole thing goes out of whack. So controling the amount and time of pitching becomes super dificult and tedious making it a real pain in the a. :dog:
In Ableton's Operator it's done in like 4 mouse clicks and i can get the pitch to go up or down on release and stay unchanges on sustain but with Hive2 it's impossible?
It's hard to believe that Hive2 can't do it so I must be missing something, right?
I attached a screenshot of the settings in Operator that i'm trying to replicate with Hive2 for those who use Ableton.
Please help me out :help:

not sure if i understand this correctly, but....
...what i'd do is:
1) osc1-semi at -2
2) MOD1 (adsr = 0 0 100 62) -> modulates SEMI
modmatrix says: mod1 -> osc1:tune value 8.00

this gives the sustain at regular pitch
(mod pitches it up by 2 semi, semi -2 pitches it doen correctly)
upon releas it gets pitched down within the speed by release...

works here...

yeah that's how i got it to work but it only works if you "compensate" the mod pitching by transposing the osc in precise increments (like if mod amount is 24 i have to go -5 semi etc) but if i want to change the amount of modulation the pitch of the osc shifts and so I have to adjust the semi transpose to compensate the pitch change cause by mod again and again every time i turn the amount knob. it's crazy. so it seems like basic pitch envelope modulation can't be done?

still looking for a solution...

some synths have dedicated pitch envelopes, some don't. If a synth doesn't have a pitch envelope, one has to find other solutions. It is what it is

It's easy now in latest Bitwig and the CLAP version Hive.
