Hi,

im using Hive2 2.1.1 in Bitwig 4.3 on Linux and I was trying to use the Arp/Sequencer Clock Sync feature. The manual says, when I turn on Sync the Arp doesn't restart whith a new note and when I turn it off, it restarts with a new note.
Sync
‘Strict Host Synchronization’ causes arpeggios and sequences to align with beats in the host so they are not restarted with each note.
But here it always restarts with a new note.
Do I miss something?

Let's try to explain the strict host sync feature with an example:

Imagine the arp timebase is set to 1/4, so a new arpeggiated note starts every beat of the bar.

Now suppose the notes you play start in between two beats.

With strict host sync disabled, the arpeggio will always be off-beat, playing the arpeggiated notes between two beats. The resultant arpeggio won't play nicely in sync with the rest of your song.

With strict host sync enabled, the very first note of the arpeggio will either be prolonged or shortened, waiting for the next beat, so that from the second note on, the arpeggio will be in sync with the rest of the song.
