MNotepad - Backspace not working?

Hi,

when using MNotepad with my keayboard, the Backspace functionis not working.
This is not the case for all other software applications.
The Backspce of the virtual keyboard works fine, but is slowing down my writing process for notes.
I was hoping, that this "mailfunction" would be changed with V16.
Any ideas what's wrong?

It depends on the software/DAW. In Reaper it's shift+space, it might work on other software as well, give it a try, if yuoo haven't already.

Nice tip.

I pressed alt + backspace and it works. But why is this?
When I open the addititonal window by clicking on the keyboard symbol, the Backspace key works fine without pressing alt.
Is this a feature? I mean, why should I change my learned habit to write and use backspace without pressing an additonal key.
But thanks for your hint and motivating me to do some trail and error.

I believe some daws have the space key really hardwired, so it doesn't mess up the playback, while editing plug-in values etc. I don't know the deep insights of how plug-ins interact with daws about typing and editing, but I can add that I had most of these issues using Reaper (if I recall correctly), there are some nice workarounds and solutions like the above, so I just got used to it.

Glad it worked. Might get solved some day, or alt-space becomes an instinctive habit.

For me it doesn´t work when writing the number 8 on the right numeric pad

I find that I have to use the horizontal number row when typing into melda.

I am now using the free Hofa Notepad. No problems with that one and backspace is working

The DAWs are controlling this and usually they want all keys. That's why there's the keyboard icon, which shows a popup window, which usually receives all the keys.
