I have been trying to make this setup work, does anyone have any luck getting Waveform to pull it off?
I have Reastream in my master output plugin chain, last of course. And in OBS it is there too and should be receiving audio from Waveform but NOTHING.

I think the problem may be related to the ASIO that I use for my interface. I found this video that has a suggestion, I will be giving this a try today.

Yes it does work, definitely, but it took a bit of YouTube hunting to set up both obs and reastream. Not too complicated in the end. Mainly was getting the audio inputs right in obs from memory, it's been a while, I can't be very specific from memory, sorry

Ok, I have been working with this and I have some success but not able to do what I want. Here is my issue.
I use an ASIO interface with Waveform 12. In order to get OBS to see any type of ASIO device you need to install a plug in that will allow OBS to see the ASIO device. This works, I am able to tell OBS which ASIO device to receive. But I can only receive 2 channels. At this point I can add the Reastream plug in on Waveform's output and set it to send, and place it on the Media Source (ASIO) in OBS and get the output of Waveform into OBS.
This is my main problem here- I can playback any amount of tracks I want into OBS. BUT if I attempt to play a live feed (in this case my trio) using 9 tracks thru Waveform into OBS with or without recording them, it will only receive tracks 1 and 2. So upon playback it will see all recorded tracks, but just using Waveform as a live mixer and sending its output to OBS, it will only do the first two tracks! How can I make it send ALL tracks through?

I have no idea if this will work, but maybe try putting your tracks into a submix folder in waveform, then send the folder track to the outputs that are captured by the obs.
I don't have any experience of what you are trying to do, so this suggestion might be stupid.
All the best.

That sounds like a really good idea, and worth a quick try! Thanks. I will get back.

I checked my OBS, so in sources I have added an input capture. I've added two gain filters set to minus 30 followed by one instance of Reastream, named 'waveform'. Device is set to 'default'. On the master in waveform I have added Reastream, named it 'waveform' and set it to send audio/Midi, *local broadcast. That then records everything that passes through the master in Waveform.
I can't remember if there were any important steps before that sorry. When I got my new Presonus Studio 24C interface I discovered it has a function called loopback so I can bypass all the Reastream stuff now and just pull audio straight from the interface. I didn't have to do any playing around to get OBS to recognise it as far as I can remember.
Hope you get it sorted.

I tried terrynoakes suggestion and placed nine tracks into a submix folder. This worked well, and all of the nine inputs are being sent to OBS, mixed in Waveform. Waveform still only sends the first two tracks to OBS but as long as the submix track in on one of them, all the tracks in the submix are sent. Thanks Terrynoakes!
I wonder if dysjoint can send more than two tracks into OBS- not as playback tracks but just as passing through without being recorded, as in using Waveform like a mixer.

Thanks, cool that it worked👍

Ok folks...remember when I said that this process worked?
I must have been mistaken somehow (imagine that!) because I am right back where I started. All I can get Reastream to do is send the first two channels of Waveform to OBS. During playback it will send everything Waveform is playing, but if I just want to monitor Waveform's output and send it through to OBS it will only send the first two tracks. So I can't send 9 tracks of a trio playing live through Waveform and into OBS.
How can I get there? Help, please.
Does anyone know if there is a software that will simply mix a live feed through my interface and send it out?

Look up Adam Steel, Hop Pole Studios "livestream your daw through OBS'. It's a bit long winded but I think this is the video that cracked it for me. Around 9:30 onwards may be the bit?? (maybe) that might help you, about setting the input capture on OBS. You need to use a 'donor input" something that is not being used by anything else, even the daw. That' s the only thing I can think of that might be a general solution, but I've only ever captured a mic (through an interface into waveform) a midi keyboard input playing live plus track playback all at the same time and that works.

I can get to that point. I can get Waveform to play recorded tracks into OBS just fine. What I can't make happen is to make Waveform play THROUGH to OBS. I hope I am making myself clear in that part. Recorded tracks will play into OBS, AND tracks 1 and 2 will play through, meaning if a signal is coming into those tracks without being recorded, just monitored, OBS will see those two tracks. But no more.
The limitation has got to be in the software somewhere. I am using the ASIO plugin for OBS, and it will only select two tracks, so that may be it. Or maybe it is in Waveform itself, because upon recorded playback I can see the output meters moving with signal passing through, but when monitoring signals coming in without recording the only movement on any meter is the gain setting at each input- there is no signal showing at the channel output OR the main outputs, only on playback does that show up. I think if Waveform would pass signal through then OBS might see it.
What I am trying to do may not be possible.

Gotcha, there is a setting, a box, to turn on live input monitoring. I think it's in the properties panel at the bottom of the screen when you select an input. I'm not at my pc so can't check or remember if there is any other global setting. If it is not on you won't get any pass through to the outputs.

I tried turning on input monitoring, it makes no difference. Thanks, though!

I am having the exact same issue and it's driving me insane. I basically need to use Waveform for processing live mic/instrument inputs and sending the outputted audio down the master track to get the output into Streamlabs OBS. The master track only outputs any audio when you playback something you've previously recorded currently.

Seems a bit strange as shouldn't the master track output absolutely everything, including live inputs, by default? That's how it works on a regular mixing desk!
