I am new to the forum, hello to everyone.

Everything is in the title. I generate .mid files from Guitar pro, that I import in a DAW (Reaper, but it was the same with Cakewalk). Every time I need to transpose the bass midi track +12 halftones to have it played correctly by Ample Bass P Light II. I have searched and searched but I can't find a way to tell the VSTi to just behave as a normal bass and not as a guitar ? Any help on this ?

Some DAWs start MIDI pitch numbers at 0 and some at -2. So with some DAWs you'll need to make a 2 octave shift for some VSTis. I don't think there's a "right" and "wrong", it's just a different interpretation the DAW manufacturers adopted. So, there's no fix for your particular setup, unfortunately.
