When i try to use the M-Unify.Mux file created by User robert_p , referred to here
viewtopic.php?t=585309&start=15
there is always an error message
'Couldn't load preset file'
Tried both Mulab v9.0.35 x64 and Mulab Plugin v9.0.37 x64 DEMO versions
and Unify v1.9.1 running on Windows 10
Could anyone assist in finding a solution for this.
Thanks.

Hi, are you able to load any factory preset? I just found this info on MuTools website:

"In Demo Mode: (...) You cannot save MUX presets that contain composers."

Maybe that's the case - my Mux contains the "Composer" (however, the website doesn't say anything about demo limitation while opening such a files).

Post

Opening MUX presets with composers should be no prob in demo mode.
The demo limit is only about saving.

Hi ,
Factory Presets load ok.
Have tried some of the Files posted by Members
e.g. 4EPM9 , DR32MS and get the same Error.
However the CEL9 Channel Strip loads ok.

Note that MuLab 9 only opens projects & presets of MuLab 8 / MUX 8.
Maybe those presets are too old and need to be upgraded using M8, but M9 then tells you so.
That doesn't explain the Unify MUX preset as that was saved with M9.
Using M9.0.56 i double-checked saving+reloading a MUX preset that uses a VST plugin and it works fine here.

Aha , checked back to the Downloads Page having seen mutools is using 9.0.56.
Got mulab-app-9-0-56-win64-exe.zip and since extracting contents all the MUX files
that had the Error now load ok.
Good.
Any idea what's changed in this version so that Error has gone away?

Have now tried mulab-plugin-9-0-56-win64-dll.zip as well , and the
M-Unify.Mux is now loading ok inside Unify Stand Alone.

I have no idea.
Nothing has changed wrt loading MUX presets.

I remember downgrading MuLab Plugin from ver. 9.0.52 to 9.0.48 to investigate some issues and I had the same error when I tried to open the preset saved in a newer version.

Post

That's always possible, generally files are not downward compatible.
