Latest update: Default resampling quality?

Installed the latest update and tried changing the new General Setting/Default Resampling Quality to "Best (Sinc Best)". What is this setting? because it breaks the Browser for me. Trying to preview an audio file is hit and miss (mostly miss) and Waveform stops responding + CPU spike.

Just me? Windows 11, i9, ssd's, machine shouldn't be a problem.

To clarify, if I change it back to normal (lagrange) the problem is gone
