Hey there,
I was thinking about how cool it would be to have e.g. the MPowerSynth random button not only randomizes a whole new patch, but would also allow the user to give some inputs on how the sound should sound like.
E.g. the user could say it should be a plucked sound with a high timbre and not many effects or so and then the random algorithm would try to generate such a patch. Since the algorithm uses existing presets, maybe it would also be possible to let the user input something like "volume envelope of presets in the mallets folder and character of presets in the bass folder" or so. Just thinking here!
Also maybe such a configurable randomize feature would be possible for other plugins as well then?

I am in favor of something like this, but I am biased based on my own desires for a sound design tool like this. I sketched out some ideas for doing this for a line of hardware sound modules I used. I never coded it, though, but I think the idea can apply to any synth that has parameters.
The "Parametizer" (as I used to call it) would allow users to define sets of preferred parameters and preferred ranges of settings (as well as percent variations, sample presets to draw from, etc.) to generate psuedo-random presets. Generated presets (especially favorites) could also be used to make (and therefore refine) later presets.
This carries the simple randomize button idea a step further.

That's actually almost AI thingy
. Also we focus on MSF now and there you technically have this - choose a device and randomize it
