Superlooper instant overdub and stop??

I perform without looking at my computer.
Is there a way to make superlooper act like a one button hardware looper?
Example: I play a random ostinato, start the looper recording, then after some seconds I hit record again to exit recording. All is well.
Now I want to overdub a counterpoint and hit record while playing. Nothing happens, as superlooper is waiting until the start of the loop.
I want recording to start mid loop if that is where playback is at, and continue, then again instantly jump out of record when I hit the button. Not wait for the start of the loop, that has no use for me.

Is this possible?

Map it out to a midi controller. Also you need to have forward motion in the DAW if you sync or not.
