As hosting AU seems to be the main expertise of Ju-X, and the development of plugins seems to be on the skill list as well, I would love to see a native Apple Silicon wrapper plugin for AUv3.
My DAW is Bitwig, and it only loads VST. That is why I thing such a wrapper is needed. More and more of those iOS synths are available for the desktop now. Such a wrapper would simply make them usable for me. Also other host are not AUv3 ready yet. And Cubase never will be...
I could imagine two ways to tackle it. One would be a plugin that simply loads an AUv3 and opens its user interface. The other would be an application to create a wrapper as seperate plugin. Just by taking over its unique identifier and route all its parameters to the host... You load that AUv3, and export it as VST3 or VST2...
Will there be a AUv3 hosting VST?

Ooh! Fancy seeing you here! My recent dalliances with the iPad have left me craving Drambo, Nambu and Atom Piano Roll 2 in Bitwig, amongst other things. Every few days I head out in the trusty ship HMS Research, but I normally end up floundered near The Cape of No Hope. I've had to resort to holding my nose and using Ableton Live as a host for Nambu, which works quite well. APR2, however, isn't recognised by AL, and none of the other things I've tried do the job. I was quite hopeful for Blue Cat Audio Patchwork, but that only hosts AUs not AU3s. I know it is feasible because I've got Moog's Animoog Z which runs very nicely in Bitwig because of an AUv3 to VST wrapper which Moog made available!

It's probably yet another blind alley way, but https://kushview.net/element/ looks quite promising. Here's the Github repo... https://github.com/kushview/Element/, and here's the Github discussion on Auv3 support... https://github.com/kushview/element/discussions/590. The discussion seems to have gone quiet, however...
