Hi folks,
I'm trying to use a MIDI Arpeggiator (Xfer Cthulhu) inside Patchwork, but it doesn't seem to work.
So i have Cthulhu in the first parallel slot, and a VSTi synth in the second slot just to the right.
So it seems that MIDI (unlike audio) doesn't move from left to right through the parallel section. Instead each VSTi takes it's MIDI input direct from the input to Patchwork.
Could anyone confirm this is correct or perhaps there's a setting to change, or even a modification possible to the plugin?
A picture explains a thousand words, so i've attached a pic explaining what i mean.
Thanks!
MIDI Arpeggiators don't work inside Patchwork?

MIDI indeed does not follow the audio flow, as that's not what is expected in most cases. But you can simply route MIDI thru virtual ports (select MIDI Input or Output in the plugin slot menu). There is an example with arpeggiators in the manual, in the Operation section.

Thanks for the speedy reply!
Wow, the solution is even better than i hoped, that gives crazy flexibility.
A million thanks!
Just another quickie: is there any performance or stability benefit to be had by using either the VST2.4 or VST3 version?
Or any other feature that benefits from VST3?
I've been googling it and find a compelling reason to use one or the other.

Well unfortunately VST3 is still much less reliable than VST2 after all these years... So we still recommend using VST2 over VST3 when you can!
