I want to make a drum machine that picks up random samples using fx grid.
It would be something like Audiomodern' Playbeat or Loopmix for example.
I think that loading random samples into sampler will bring about something interesting by chance in music.
The above application is certainly a good one, but it would be more interesting to be able to modulate various values in fx grid.
Any ideas for having sampler load random files?

Not exactly what you're asking for, but some people create 128s to help generate "happy accidents" by being able to scroll through samples even more quickly:
The video shows this with a sampler outside the grid in an earlier version of Bitwig, but the basic 128 concept could be used in samplers within the grid.
You could use dice/random modulators to control selection of which semitone (and therefore sample) each sampler is playing. Someone else may chime in with other ways to do this, but hopefully that'll give you some ideas to run with.

I don't think that would work realtime... it takes time to load samples. Better pre-load lots of samples and then it is easy to switch between them in all sorts of random and semi-random ways
