Hi,
Is there a way to temporarly solo the bandwith we are working on in the equalizer, or the noise we are removing in the spectral tool ? In general, a way to listen exclusively the effect we are producing by the use of the plugins ?

In the EQs, you can activate the 'Auto-listen' button and then click on a band (in the graph) to isoloate its frequencies. You can also right-click on a band and then select 'solo' at the top right of the pop-up window to temporarily disable all other bands.

MSpectralDynamics has a 'Diff' button in the toolbar which you can use to listen to the difference.

For plugins which don't have a difference button, you can always invert the original signal and add it to the output of the plugin. Although a 'Diff' button would be nice to have on all plugins.

MCompare also comes with a diff button that you can use. Put one instance front of your plugin and one after. I have set up a plugin-chain in my DAWs that has already set up the right source and names. It takes about 5 seconds to add it and move to the right position.

You can also use MCompare to blind-test your changes to see if they are actually noticeable. It's great.

That's great, thanks you!
