I'm inputting some notes on my midi keyboard using the piano roll feature but since I can't manually input them that fast, I would like to speed them up later. I've tried selecting all of them and shortening them, but this only shortens their individual note duration (see attached gif).
Is it possible to scale their positions relative to the first selected note as well?
Waveform 12 piano roll: possible to scale multiple selected notes' positions (i.e. speed up) as well as duration?

On some further searching it turns out holding alt and dragging on the end triangle of the clip works well for this: viewtopic.php?t=160840

Record them at a slower tempo and then change the tempo to the desired speed. I usually put a tempo change after the projected end of the song and record my material after that. Then I move the good takes to where they should go in the song. This speeds them up automatically. Note that this works with audio takes too.

Stuttaton beat me to the punch. Recording MIDI at a slower tempo and then changing the project tempo to the correct speed later is an old, old trick. Been doing that since the late 80s, so it's got pedigree!
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.
