MSoundFactory Essentials Automatic Download?

Hi, I just opened MSF and checked which libraries/products I had installed and MSF appeared to download MSF Essentials automatically; version 2, I believe. The reason I'm writing is because I think that these kinds of downloads should not be automatic.
Yes, it's convenient but then again me pushing a button to confirm isn't that far 'out of my way'. Besides, I feel anxious about closing programs while they're updating. I just wanted to check real fast but instead felt beholden to the download bar.
Maybe this is just me or maybe a continuation of a previous download but, if it is indeed automatic, please consider implementing a 'new version is available. download?' dialog of some kind. It is something I prefer and maybe others as well. Thank you.

Hey, yes, it's automatic. I simply didn't want to clutter the GUI. You have to imagine that in forseeable future there may be dozens of MSF packs and they would all start to ask you whether they should be updated. Usually the update is tiny, but this time we added lots of samples. Maybe in the future some popup... not sure.

Hi Vojtech, thanks for replying. Yes, I understand your concern about clutter - I try to remind my girlfriend of the virtues of Zen home aesthetic but the clutter keeps encroaching.
You already have two statuses for each product: 'Download & Install' and 'Installed version X'. Maybe a third state like 'Update available' could fit or the little house icon in the top toolbar can get an iOS-style 1 in a circle. Whatever you do will probably be great but I hope it's something because if dozens of products start downloading I'm going to freak
Cheers.

Well, perhaps some global checkbox...
