Play instrument with built-in patterns in live matrix (without a midi or audio clip

Good day. I was wondering if there is a way to play the built in patterns/arps/sequences/midi of an instrument as a clip, e.g. XLN Audio XO, Audiomodern products, UJAM products, etc, which have built-in patterns/arps/sequences/midi. Basically a "placeholder clip", where if a key assigned to that placeholder clip it pressed, or the clip is in a scene, it will start playing that instrument for the set duration, without any MIDI or Audio file. I have watched some YouTube videos of how the live matrix works and from my limited understanding, it seems like a clip has to be either a MIDI or AUDIO clip. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi, the un-looped MIDI sequence on Live Matrix MIDI Clip can activate playback of your VST instrument (as long, as the instrument has an option to "not play automatically when the transport runs"). You can map the clip to "Note Action" and trigger it with the key.
