I'm looking for a plugin that allow me to slice audio files and play every slice as a note, for a Kygo effect like.
If my explanation wasn't enough just take a look at Slicex from IL that does exactly that, but it's not mantained, so i was searching for an alternative.
There is something that allow me that between Melda plugins, or some patch i missed in mxxx?

Vice from New Sonic Arts.

Thanks for the suggestion, i see they use a C/R mode to authorize plugins, i'm trying to leave all these stuff out of my DAW using where is possible only software that use reg keys or file.

Maybe Sugar Bytes Egoist is what you are looking for.
W11 Pro, Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, Ryzen7 5800H, 32GB RAM, 2x1TB M.2, nV RTX3060, Bitwig Studio 5.x, CLAP/VST3, Presonus Studio 26c, Presonus ATOM/ATOM SQ, AKAI APC40 MKII, Evolution UC-33e, M-Audio Radium 49, Studiologic VMK 188 Plus, KRK Rokit RP5 G4+S8G4

Thanks for the suggestion, but seems it can make only 16 slices, even if it's very capable, probably is build for a different purpose of mine.
What i look for must be able to accept a 3 min long lead vocal and chop it in even hundred of slices where each of them is assigned to a midi note

MSoundFactory probably is the closest thing to what you'd need:
Sampling
Sampler in MSoundFactory is already very advanced. It features unlimited number of regions with unlimited number of alterning hits in each, looping and crossfading with ranges available for modulation, syncing multiple samplers for multi-microphone based instruments.

For those, who specialize in sampling acoustic instruments there are various utilities, such as a sample cutter, automatic layer and sample start generator, tonal/noise convertor, loop generator...

I haven't tried it myself, but like mcbpete mentioned, MSoundFactory has tools for cutting and importing samples.

You should be able to use them to cut your vocals into individual sample files and then import them and assign them to separate notes.

It's a completly different use case unfortunatly (workfklow it's very important)

I've tested it, and it works pretty well. You can cut a vocal into parts and then load them.

Use the index as the file-name when saving and then read it as the pitch when loading. That way, each sample gets assigned to the corresponding MIDI note on the keyboard in order. You can shift the octave as well so you don't have to work with the lowest notes in the piano roll.

The whole export-import process takes less than a minute once you know what you're doing. And from what I can tell, The slicer in MSoundFactory gives you much more control than Slicex which might come in handy for Vocals.

The only difference is that you have the chopped samples in a folder instead of keeping it all in the plugin.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

New Sonic Arts licensing allows installation on unlimited computers that you own.
They have offline authentication that you only ever need to complete once per machine.
I use their stuff on stage and have never had even the slightest problem.
Don't throw the baby out with the bath water: Vice is a quality slicer that can cope with GB size files no problem.

Maybe Chandler can make a video on it?

It would be very nice if he could do that

There are also the official tutorials for the sampler module which should help you figure it out yourself.

The cutting tool is described in tutorial #12
