I have constructed a Mastering EQ based on the Sontec Mastering EQ 432

So far I've always used Mixbus32C for mixes and mastering stages. I'm looking at using instead Bitwig, the DAW I use for creation. This preset could be useful. Is there a recommended way to install it ?

That's actually pretty cool. Like the original EQ 432 but with few extras. Classical Melda Stylespencerlee wrote: Tue Feb 21, 2023 3:21 am I have constructed a Mastering EQ based on the Sontec Mastering EQ 432

Following on my question above, found this in the current MSF documentation :
"Exported preset files can be loaded into the plug-in's preset store using the Import button. Or the preset files themselves can be copied into the directories named above."
Copying the preset in :
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\MeldaProduction\MXXX
Will not make it available to the plugin. It has to be imported.
Why ...\MeldaProduction\MXXX ?
There are many preset files in ..\MeldaProduction\ for all kinds of Melda plugins. Along with some directories for specific applications. So I thought that putting the preset file in a ordered way into the MXXX subdirectory would make sense.

Hey Mevia
Have you found any errors in the preset.
How does it sound to you.

I haven't had the chance to try it yet. I actually did the setup, imported the main file and a reference and then things popped up and time fled by. One thing I noticed is that the first run was done using the Neon theme and the buttons were totally black circles. I changed the theme to Metro :spencerlee wrote: Wed Feb 22, 2023 10:20 pm Have you found any errors in the preset. How does it sound to you.
I checked by loading Melda plugins I know I never ever used before (and this is a new OS setup) and they reverted to the Metro theme. So there might be a cosmetic problem of sorts there, sticking to the Neon theme.
As for the sound, I've only quickly tried, nothing serious yet.
Based on the subject line, I have to resuscitate the question :
What's the difference between MXXX and MXXX1 ?

I dont know the difference I always use MXXX1
Hi Pass sides does not affect the Bass in the centre.
The D in the select style is Dynamic EQ
So you could use the plugin as a 8 Band Dynamic eq if you wanted to.

Style was not a problem here.
LRMSD switch on each frequency band would be very handy !!
MXXX1 does not have some global parameters, Dry/Wet, Input, output,Temporary gain, Global MultiBand-Parameters.MultiParameter to access them is not compatible.
The same goes for the MXXX/MXXX1 common factory presets and devices.
I asked Melda about this before and they replied to me that I should use MXXX.
This EQ preset has no such operation, so I don't think it is a problem.
