Just trying out the MuLab VST version.
When I import an audio stream it don't prompt for the bpm and I can't see where to set the item bpm.
So if I import a 110bpm drum track and the project is 120bpm where do I set it ?

See the docs:
https://www.mutools.com/info/M8/docs/mu ... mples.html
I like using the audio sequencer, so I can audition and adjust the slices to land where I want.

I even put acid tempo info in the drum track but it don't adjust to that.
I want to tell MuLab the source bpm for this file is 110bpm please adjust this to fit the project bpm.

Reaper will prompt

and I can manually set the source bpm

In Reaper I can Alt+drag to change the playback rate and fit to the tempo.
There must be an easy way to fit the clip to a different tempo ?

I don't want to splice it, it's an Audio Stream.
This is a normal thing in all DAW's, every DAW has this.

Even Biab can do that:

Why have so many DAWs if they are all the same?

Boring

Fortunately, MuLab's modular difference creates many possibilities (as in the above video)

For example, you can drop in a loop as an Audio Stream, right click 'Convert to Audio Sequence Clip,' select the loop, right click 'Quantize Adjacent Events' and it's done.

MuLab will alt+drag midi only.
I have only spent a short time on it but this is a major issue if you have no way to set an audio item bpm. It should also read any embedded bpm in the media.

I use them to beta test plugins.

Reaper can do all of that if that's what you want to do.
It's not a competition, I'm trying to get it all working in Biab so Biab users can use it without issue as Biab is behind in the non destructive editing. I purchased the Plugin for that reason, I don't need it for myself I only want to give them a way to edit directly in Biab, I'm not making any money out of it, MuTools make money when they sell their products.
Does that all make sense now as to why I post what I post ?

You can drag audio, too.
Perhaps spend a longer time?
Particularly if you are "beta testing"

If you convert to an audio sequence, you can do a lot!
Tip: MuLab is a 'learning-by-doing' DAW with many context menus
Best of luck in your learning journey!!

I have spent a hell of a lot of time on this, I'm giving feedback to MuTools.
If they don't like that they should not have a forum. I'm not getting paid to do all this, I paid MuTools 79 Euros to give free feedback to them, they should be thankful and respect that.
I'm sure if I sit there for another day I can make up some great "beats" splicing them up like you do, but I have zero interest in that, I will move on now and MuTools can chuck my feedback in the bin if they so like.
