PatchWork Audio Routing with Multiple Output instrument Plugin

Hello fellow musicians

My VSTi has eight stereo outs. I want to route each pair to a different parallel chain in PatchWork. What seems to work is if I place the VSTi in the first PRE-slot and insert in each first slot of the parallel chains some plugin that I don't really need. For instance I use the gain plugin that is part of PatchWork. As soon as the first slot of a parallel chain is occupied I can grab the audio from the VSTi via the manual audio routing option.

But this way I have to waste one plugin slot of the parallel chain. Also I noticed that the pre-chain gain control of the parallel chains has no effect except for channel 1, for some reason. Would be nice to adjust the gain with the dials on the interface.

I was preparing presets. At this stage I don't know what plugs I will finally want to use. Just get the audio routing done. Is there a more elegant way to route an instrument plugin with multiple outputs to different parallel chains, each with another stereo pair?

I've read the manual and looked into this old thread viewtopic.php?t=453545 but haven't been able to come up with a better solution.
