Render sounds different from the project

Title is TLDR. I'm on Waveform Free. Also, I am new and it may be a simple oversight.

Background- I'm making a bass track with tempo changes. The Bass audio track is in one project, lets call it "Complete Song". I am using a second project, we'll call this one "Bass Edit". I am editing the track in a different project in order to do a single track temp-change.

Problem- The first time I render the track, render the track from "complete song", the render sounds like the project. After I've edited it in "Bass Edit" and rendered it again the tempo change sounds muffled, less punchy, and quieter.

Also- I've come across similar issues, like similar frequencies kind of merging or overlapping, with other projects when trying to show friends what I'm working on.

Work Around=Not Fix- What I did in this case was to copying the clip, from "Complete Song", and pasting it into "Bass Edit", editing it, then copying, from "Bass Edit", and pasting it again into "Complete Song".

Other Notes-
  • Audio Meter is never going into the red
  • Using EQ and Volume plugins doesn't fix it, it helps a little, I tried a lot with those
  • I tried other plugins as well
  • I searched though the 'Waveform Users Guide'
  • Sample sizes I tried were 32 and 16 bit
  • I'm sure there's more to add here
What I've Tried
1. Every sample rate I could
2. "Normalize"
3. "Adjust Level Based on RMS"
4. MP3 instead of WAV
5. Different MP3 Qualities
6. "Render at 1x Play speed"

I appreciate all the help, advice, and wisdom anyone has to offer. If it isn't related I'll still take any advice or experience anyone has to offer in my PMs!

In the complete song. Don't you have any plugins on the Master Bus? When you're rendering, not bouncing, I believe it simply renders the complete plugin chain, Master bus included.

I do not have any plug-ins in my Master, I haven't used the Master yet. With this specific problem I don't have any plugins applied, other than the default volume/pan and meter. I was trying to keep it simple until I could fix the issue.

Would adding plugins into the master help? If so what would you suggest? If there's a video or other resource I'll gladly look there.

It wouldn't help. Or at least it wouldn't help to solve the problem as such. Sound samples or even both projects packed might help to decipher the issue...

Do you have both projects open at the same time?
Could it be that the rendered track and original playing together; and that they are slightly out of phase witth each other (and cancelling the higher frequencies)?

I did have both projects open. I tried it with just one open, nothing changed. If I listen to any of the renders in 'Windows Media Player' they have the same sound as they do in Waveform. The renders, listening in Waveform or Media Player, don't sound like they do in the project before the render.

Perhaps I had something similar and is apparently connected with automation. I create automation and if I minimize the program, or re-open the saved project, then the sound starts to be duplicated, notes can be played out of key, synchronization is lost, and so on. Here there were no these bugs and again from nowhere appear. The project is impossible to work with. Periodically, after the removal of automation, the sound returns to normal, but you draw automation and again bugs. Automation can be at least 40+ tracks) But the rendering is mostly normal. But how to work when you have a working version sounds like you drew notes at random)) what the hell hangs over this daw, or over me...))

Upd .: now the presets in Spire are also reset on their own)) you change the preset, loop the midi, and when the pattern starts again, the preset is reset to the one that was at the very beginning. It's kind of crazy.
