Background- I'm making a bass track with tempo changes. The Bass audio track is in one project, lets call it "Complete Song". I am using a second project, we'll call this one "Bass Edit". I am editing the track in a different project in order to do a single track temp-change.
Problem- The first time I render the track, render the track from "complete song", the render sounds like the project. After I've edited it in "Bass Edit" and rendered it again the tempo change sounds muffled, less punchy, and quieter.
Also- I've come across similar issues, like similar frequencies kind of merging or overlapping, with other projects when trying to show friends what I'm working on.
Work Around=Not Fix- What I did in this case was to copying the clip, from "Complete Song", and pasting it into "Bass Edit", editing it, then copying, from "Bass Edit", and pasting it again into "Complete Song".
Other Notes-
- Audio Meter is never going into the red
- Using EQ and Volume plugins doesn't fix it, it helps a little, I tried a lot with those
- I tried other plugins as well
- I searched though the 'Waveform Users Guide'
- Sample sizes I tried were 32 and 16 bit
- I'm sure there's more to add here
1. Every sample rate I could
2. "Normalize"
3. "Adjust Level Based on RMS"
4. MP3 instead of WAV
5. Different MP3 Qualities
6. "Render at 1x Play speed"
I appreciate all the help, advice, and wisdom anyone has to offer. If it isn't related I'll still take any advice or experience anyone has to offer in my PMs!
