Hi. When I try to render audio in tracktion 12, I can see the volume moving for a brief period as if it was rendering the clip, but the waveform doesn't move. It also says '0 percent exported'. The volume bar then stops completely soon after and nothing happens. I have tried rendering at full speed and faster, I have tried multiple files types (mp3, wav etc.) How can I fix this? Thank you.

Rendering weirdness seems to happen occasionally with v12, and I don't know why the devs would totally rewrite the audio engine from scratch and basically drop practical support for it over a year. I think the engine worked great in 11.5, and wish they gave us a way to roll back to that engine within 12.
Anyway, two thoughts.
Try again today. I've had individual projects produce no audio despite relaunching, rebooting, and reloading. Then, 24 hours later, come back totally fine.
Second: I've stopped rendering project back with T6, and went back to a trick we did with sequencers back in the 90s.
1. Create a track called Master or Final or something distinctive in the project giving you trouble.
2. Below it, create another track called Bounce.
3. On the far Right of each audio or MIDI track, change the output from Default to the Master track you created in step 1. Route ANY audio you want recorded to this track.
4. Don't do this for the Bounce track.
5. Change the input of Bounce to receive audio from Master.
6. Arm Bounce to record; disarm any other tracks.
Okay, you have now created a huge number of sends, all going to Master. Bounce is now set to listen to Master.
7. Put the playhead at the beginning of the tracks and press record. Everything will play at its normal rate and route to Master. Yes, you can put whatever plugins on Master you like! This is great for your mastering plugins, any room reverb, etc. And Bounce records dutifully everything that Master does.
8. Press stop at the end of the song.
9. Go to your project's Recorded folder, and there's your Bounce track--neatly rendered with no anomalies or weirdness. This works every time and is my preferred way of finalizing projects.

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.
