I recently acquired a used Yamaha 01V digital mixer and I would like to use it as a mixing control surface. It shows up in Tracktion as 16 midi controllers (8 inputs and 8 outputs) but does not appear to have any effect when I move the faders when trying to set it up as a custom control surface. Anyone have any success setting up one of these as a control surface? If so how did you do it?
It has preset templates to be used as a controller for pro-tools, nuendo, and cubase and can also be set up as a general midi controller.
Again just hoping someone out there has already done this successfully and if so can advise how they accomplished it. It is a nice piece with 16 motorized faders etc.

Hi and apologies to light up a three year old thread but I was considering getting the same thing for my setup.
Does anybody know which 8 channel/track + stereo/main mixing desk will work with tracktion waveform and have automatic faders? I want to connect waveform to a mixing desk only for level/pan control over USB and want every session to spring into memory when reopened.
I remember the 01V doing this 20 something years ago but I only need an 8 channel motorized fader if that exists. Or even 8 channel without the stereo/main because I can control that within the DAW.
