Hey,

I've been using MUX for a few years as a modular VST host in Reaper and have recently been playing around with Mulab 8+9. Congratulations on a great piece of software and a friendly community (I've been lurking here for a few years already 8) )

I have a few questions and FR's from a sound designer's perspective (I write music as well, but most of paid work is sound design). Some of these might seem a bit odd from a composition point-of-view but Mulab is a great sound design environment too.

Some of the things below might already be features that I can't find in the documentation. If that's the case please let me know:

- ability to see audio markers inside audio items from the main arranger/composer view and the ability to snap to these markers e.g. when trimming items
- item snap offset e.g. Instead of items always snapping to the start of the item when dragging it in composer view, the ability to offset this snapping point. Useful for sounds where you want a certain part of it to land on a beat/mark.
- duplicate audio file/audio stream in browser to create a 'filename_copy' version (I suspect there's another way to do this already?)
- per item modular view e.g. Mulab equivalent of per item fx. I fully understand if this is a non-starter e.g. How would event objects work in this context?
- toggle grid visibility on/off
- change grid timeline to min/sec/ms
- jump to marker key commands (and modifier keys for transport buttons) e.g. Jump to marker 'x' (where 'x' is a number) and also jump to next/previous markers (ignoring bars/beats). This would mean number keys could be used to jump to associated numbered markers.
- is there a way to view parent track waveform or midi clip when editing automation lanes? Either the ability to be able to see the parent track displayed above automation editing area or ghosted behind automation lane area itself.

Any help or advice much appreciated :)

For audio clips you can set a Snap Marker.

At least you can quickly toggle snap to grid using a key shortcut to "Toggle Grid On/Off".

Currently not.

Perfect, that's exactly what I was after.

I guess the a workaround is that I can colour the grid to match the background and then save that version as a GUI color preset. It's just useful sometimes when working on a single sound/event. This is definitely an edge case though - I don't imagine that hiding the grid is useful to most people.

OK, no worries, just thought I'd ask in case I was missing a setting somewhere.

Thanks for the help :) :tu:

This would be useful to make things clearer when the grid wasn't required. How it was done in Muzys was my personal preference. The grid was not visible, but the track lanes were. But the additional option to show/ hide the grid in the form of a toggle button would be superb.

Since this topic is about Audio Clips (rather than making a new one).
Is there a way to activate the Arrow Keys in the Audio Sequence Editor, similar to the Pianoroll, in order to move Sample Events Up/Down/Left/Right Lanes? That would make for a very quick workflow.
At least Up/Down if possible.

EDIT: Got the shortcut in the other post! Thanks!"

Up/Down still desirable for workflow...
