Should I buy Zebra Legacy now or wait a bit?

Hi Guys,
I am interested in Zebra HZ and been trying out the demo for past few days.
Doing some research before I commit. Will only need the full version in a couple of months, maybe end July or early August 2023.

I was Googling for some promo codes for the check-out page, well 99 Euro is kinda' "ok", but I was hoping to find some discount off - you know, the usual, times are bad, starving musician (although I am not exactly a Musician, will be using these for Sound Design)

Anyways, I'm also wondering if there is going to be some upcoming "Summer of Sound" kind of Sales to look out for? you know, times are .....

OK, seriously, I read that, with current Zebra Legacy license, we will not be eligible for free upgrades to Z3, so should I wait till August and see if Zebra 3 is out by then, or should I buy now?
I do not want to buy it now and find out Z3 comes out the day after..

Zebra 3 is at least a year off--if not years off.

Urs said Z2 and Z3 have different uses, and some may prefer Z2. So if you like Z2, go for it.

Zebra Legacy includes Zebra, the Dark Zebra version and soundset, as well as ALL soundsets currently distributed by u-he. Any three of these soundsets used to cost more than the 99€.

There‘s not going to be an additional summer sale, of that I‘m certain.

But please read the conditions again. There‘s not only no discounted upgrade from Legacy to Z3, there is no upgrade at all. If you buy Legacy now, you pay full for Z3.

Just an idea: You could also look for a used Zebra 2 license that comes from a time when it wasn't Zebra Legacy. That will not only give you Zebra Legacy today but also an upgrade path to Zebra 3.

I went ahead and just bought Zebra Legacy, - can't wait till August.. Hope Z3 don't come out like, tomorrow, or this weekend lol

Not coming out tomorrow, "no worries".
Also, presets won't be compatible so there'll still be a reason to keep the huge Zebra2 library around.

That's interesting that Zebra 3 won't be patch compatible with Zebra 2. That must be one hell of an update.

To be honest I haven't paid too much attention to the details of the V3 update. I'll just get it once it's released. No, "Mom and dad are we almost there yet?" pleading questions from me. LOL.
