We have been aware of this issue for over six months, and it's important to note that the problem lies with a bug in macOS Ventura (Apple confirmed), not with our software. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, but we are here to provide you with a workaround:
- switch Logic Pro DAW to Rosetta mode.
- alternatively, consider using a different DAW other than Logic Pro.
Regrettably, there is no straightforward solution to this problem. The bug is entirely within Apple's software, specifically macOS Ventura when closing modal windows. We have been consistently raising this issue with Apple developers since the beginning of 2023, or possibly even earlier, pestering them nearly every week for a resolution.
Unfortunately, we have yet to receive a response. Unfortunately, their reactions have been minimal or non-existent, despite providing detailed feedback and even paying for Technical Support Incidents (TSI). It is disheartening that this bug originates from their own software, and it appears that they are unwilling to rectify it.
However, if you happen to have better contacts in Apple than we do, feel free to give them a friendly nudge as well. Who knows, maybe your influence will be the catalyst that finally resolves it. Generously, we will reward anyone who helps us resolve this issue.

thanks for the info. there's an update to Monterey (13.4.1) that i haven't gone for yet.. maybe that will fix the problem.
edit: Update - the 13.4.1 MacOS update didn't fix the problem. this doesn't happen w/other plug ins. weird that it only effects melda but i assume that's because some package or language or whatever used to make the plug ins/Guis? anyway.. closing and reopening the plug in brings back the gui... and it only happens after hitting the info button which isn't something i'll do often.
