Hi there
I am working on a live set using several vst instruments in one mux. These are 2 x roland tb303, 1 x roland 808 and 1 x roland 909. This way I can use their internal sequencers, and i've made a front panel so i can tweak each sound on the fly using an external midi controller such as the faderfox pc12.

But here's my problem. I can't get mulabs own sequencer/step sequence modules to start/stop without a note on/off command. I'd like to incorporate the MuDrum inside the mux with its own sequences. The note on/off will play a note on all the roland vst's: I don't want this to happen.

Is there a way to start/stop a sequence/step sequence module without a note on/off command. The roland vst's start/stop in sympathy with the play button. That's what I'd like the sequencer modules to do. But I can't find an option for this.

Any help appreciated.

I'm not sure if i see the picture from text description only but can't you filter the note events so they reach the step sequencer but not the plugins?

Yes, I see what you mean, a filter would probably do it, but is not as elegant. I was hoping that in a future update we could have a "play button dependant" option added to the sync start/stop options in the sequencer modules. Is that technically possible?

Yes, it's indeed on the wishlist, have been thinking about that too: Kind of like the MIDI start/stop/continue/reposition messages. Then a composer will send these out, and child modules can listen to them.

Yes exactly, we are on the same wavelength.

A Mux containing a collection of internally sequenced instruments with their parameters all tweakable in one front panel is my goal. Trouble is I need another €500 to buy the midi controller. I may need to start a crowd funder lol.
