I am trying to use the Meldway Grand in MSoundFactory LE. I downloaded 10 times with the wonderful perfect installer and MDownloader and it installed with no errors.

But each time I try to use MSoundFactory LE and select Meldway grand I get this error:

As you can see from the screenshot that's a messed up path. It seems that on the first time I ran the installer I told it to put the MDrummer stuff in the MSoundFactory folder and vice versa.
I then uninstalled and reinstalled but MSoundFactory is trapped thinking everything lives somewhere other than it lives.
Nothing I do will fix this that I can see.

There is that stupid window that says Fix, and it lets you locate the files as to their real location.
And then you try that preset again and it has the same error again.
What exactly is the use of this fix button?
And even when it does "fix" it doesn't work; the instruments that don't find their msamples don't play even after they say they did find them.

Also when you reinstall, 99% of the time the content installer (MDownloader) goes stupid and hangs for hours at 15% CPU and no progress.

Reboot, retry. Reboot retry.

The cleanup feature obviously doesn't actually clean up and Melda installer gets into a crazed state which you can't recover from.

do you have the samples unpacked? in what location are they installed?
Maybe you could provide a screenshot of the sample folder

Should look something like this.
If you click "Find" in the dialogue you screencaptured, you can provide the path to the folder with these samples

It looks like the install paths for the samples are set wrong. It seems like it is trying to find the samples in the MDrummer folder. Try to delete the samples, then set a new folder for them (I have different folders for MDrummer and MSoundFactory content), set this at the bottom of the Download & Install Instruments window, then download and install again. If it still doesn't work for you, please get in touch with support (email) and we will help you there.

It looks like support was able to help me get it installed. There were issues with the CDN and the installer was glitching.

Now that I've moved my MSoundFactory content to a new folder, I'm all messed up again.

There is no uninstall or reinstall button. This really isn't clear.

Afaik, to "uninstal" you just need to delete the folder or the content you want to delete.

Anyway you can tell to MSF to search the content in the newer directory and it works.

I made it just once in the past and worked with no issue

So far a full uninstall on mac involves:

Cleanup under system Library/Application Support/Melda
Cleanup under user Library/Application Support/Melda
Cleanup under preferences files.
Cleanup under Applications
Cleanup under system Library/Audio/Melda
Cleanup under users Library/Audio/Melda

Which really is not melda's fault. macOS has needed a proper uninstall system forever, and Apple just does not care.
But really it would be nice if there was a full clean uninstall feature in melda's installer that removed ALL melda files.

After a FULL clean and reinstall 16.08 is working for me.
