I'm not sure I posted Vol.1, but Vol.2 is out tomorrow.
So what is Diva Digital. Originally it was as much classic trance as I could fully emulate using the Digital engine in Diva. So everything JP-8000/8080 from 1998-2000ish. It follows from my bank for the JP 8000 hardware, I decided to try it out in Diva and the actual oscillator engine is very close if not identical, but downstream from there is where it differs as Diva uses analog modeled filters, doesn't have the tone controls and so on.
Vol.1 had just oner 300 presets, Vol.2 has over 200. Now if you're not a trance nut it will feel like there's some overlap between them, but if you're deep into it you'll notice how they differ. It's a lot like how some people have 50 different compressors and appreciate the differences while others will just use Pro-C2 or stock for everything (nothing wrong with either!)
Anyway, I had a blast. I've had tons of feedback on how much people loved the first bank. There's a bit of a movement now of retro-trance being reimagined. I welcome it really as I've never enjoyed the 138 hard stuff as much.
The MIDI you hear is not included per-se, but if you email me I can send it. Of course it's all copyright so it's for education only. But if you're big into this period of trance and aren't able to recreate these yourself they are a fantastic learning tool.
Vol.1 is available now, Vol.2 on the 21st of August (tomorrow)

Nice work, these sound absolutely fantastic. I have to wonder how long this took you.

Thanks! It's hard to say as parts of the project go back to the beginning of the year, without like a clear direction. Once I decided on what to do, I'd say about 1 month of exploration & 2 months of tweaking & finalizing.billcarroll wrote: Mon Aug 21, 2023 6:35 pm Nice work, these sound absolutely fantastic.
