Lately I have been working with a template in waveform and yesterday when I was recording midi tracks I noticed a delay in the notes after recording.
At the moment of recording I didn't notice those delays but when I press play to listen to the recording I can hear the delay.
I opened another new file and I don't have this problem.

Tldr: in my opinion Waveform is compensating for the latency of the specific track you're recording onto, bit ignoring latencies that sum to a higher amount on other tracks. You can try freezing other tracks or disabling high latency plugins and see if that solves it. I'm halfway sure of this but if you find any different I'd be curious to hear.
