Vst3 version doesn't work in Waveform on Windows. Vst2 works fine. The plugin is interesting but virtually no content comes with it which is disappointing. This could be good with more sounds.

I renamed the folder containing the vst3 (deleted the. vst3 bit from the folder name) then Waveform found the actual plugin inside. Then I selected the actual vst3 plugin in settings and chose 'validate selected' which was successful, and now it works.

That will work fine until there is an update. Waveform needs to know how to weed out the folders from the plugins. The fact that so many vst3 plugins these days have the stupidest install folder structure is a separate issue.

1. Waveform should be able to tell the difference between a folder and a plugin.
2. Plugins shouldn't be installed 2-3 folders deep without a reason.
3. Plugin folders shouldn't have file extensions.

Notice the use of 'virtually' in the original sentence, I am aware of the content pack, there is 'virtually' nothing in there, it just feels like a marketing gimmick for tracktions sound packs. About 25 / 30 presets. None of the content for sale interests me either bar the bioktek presets but you can get infinitely better deals at WAproduction on sounds it's pointless to buy even in a labour / labor (for the yanks) day sale.

I got a response from someone at TSC and they are not able to replicate the problem, so it's not a universal problem. I'm not sure why it cropped up for me in this instance. Other vst3 plugins with the same folder structure work fine for me. In the past, plugins that moved from the root into the silly folder path via plugin updates would often have this same problem where Waveform tried to load the folder as the plugin.

The folder structure that seems stupid to me is a new-ish standard from Steinberg.

Why would I ask for my money back when Attracktive is a free vst?

Spent several days trying to download a pack via the useless download manager. No joy. No replies from Tracktion.

I've just downloaded and installed Attracktion. It came with approximately 212 presets which did not need installing separately. The Tracktion website currently has five packs of Attracktive sounds available, all for either $10 or $20, (https://www.tracktion.com/products/attracktive#packs) but at the time of writing there is a 40% off sale with the code LABOR23. I suspect that purchase of any sound pack will make that sound pack appear in the Download Manager list soon after purchase. If I recall correctly, Attracktive can play BioTek sounds and possibly others.

EDIT: The Download Manager now shows Attracktive Content as a seperate item, despite the fact that I had to only download a single item initially.

I added the first instance of Attracktion to a track but couldn't see its user interface. I replaced it with the second instance and the GUI appeared. In the plugins tab under Settings, the VST3 version of Attracktive is listed as an "Audio Module Class", whereas the VST version is listed as a synth. I assume the VST version rather than the VST3 version is the one that appeared with a GUI. I have since altered the folder name of the VST3 version as described by dysjoint and the VST3 version now appears as Attracktive rather than Attracktive (64 bit) as the first two instances were.
