Is Theia free to those of us who have previously owned Hyperion?

Hi,
Tracktion Download Manager downloaded and installed Theia today on my computer. When I attempted register it, it registered only as a free trial, but the Tracktion site says that Theia is "included with all Hyperion licenses." It also shows up in my accounts list of downloadable products.
Am I missing something? Do I own Theia now as a previous Hyperion owner?
Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Is there any need for Theia though if you already have Hyperion? It already has the easy edit panel view, isn’t Theia pretty much just that without the editor?

A fair question.aMUSEd wrote: Sun Sep 10, 2023 6:54 pm Is there any need for Theia though if you already have Hyperion? It already has the easy edit panel view, isn’t Theia pretty much just that without the editor?
I haven't played with Theia enough to be able to answer this quite yet. It literally came a couple of hours ago, but the main panel has only a few tweakable parameters. I'm thinking the idea behind it is kind of a "Hyperion Player."
And one way or the other, it is still a good thing to know if this is free to us currently.

Yeah that's the thing - Hyperion already has a macro based 'Player' interface for when people don't want to go deeper that looks identical to Theiadlandis wrote: Sun Sep 10, 2023 7:01 pmA fair question.aMUSEd wrote: Sun Sep 10, 2023 6:54 pm Is there any need for Theia though if you already have Hyperion? So I'm not sure if Hyperion users need this - it seems more for non Hyperion owners (as a sortof 'Gateway drug')

Yes - that's what we decided to do. In fact you effectively already have Theia inside Hyperion (the combi/big knobs page), but you might like to use the simpler limited interface of Theia.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Right. So, to get back to the question originally posed, is there an answer to my question: do current Hyperion owners then get Theia (with the patches which do not occur in Hyperion) for free as it seems to be stated on the website? If so, what's the story with the free trial? Is this a mistake of some sort?pough wrote: Sun Sep 10, 2023 10:35 pm From a comment by wavesequencer on YouTube

Here's what happened for me:
1. It shows up in the download manager.
2. I installed it.
3. It took my registration.
4. It lost my registration and asked for it again.
5. Now it says I am in demo mode.
Speaking of which, does anyone know how to get the free trials to go away? I demo'd KULT a while back and decided not to get it. Now the download manager hassles me when it gets updated.

I get nagged about MOK Waverazor every day since 2018 or so. Can't get rid of it.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to eliminate demos from the Tracktion License Manager, but I vaguely remember doing that a few years ago. Looking at the Manager, I can't put my finger on what it is that I did.
Is there nothing on the Tracktion site?

I think I had BioTek on permanent "Oy! It's updated" notice, despite only trialling it four or more years back and never buying it. I've edited a certain file and moved it from the main list of software to a section for ignored software. It seemed to do the trick, but it wasn't a strict enough procedure to pass on. I may be able to repeat the process by moving the BioTek parameter back. I'll try it sometime, but don't hold your breath.dlandis wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 1:04 amThis is what I got as well.pough wrote: Sun Sep 10, 2023 11:29 pm Here's what happened for me:

I had the same issue with Theia registration - When I "unlock" and give it my details, it just comes back and says this

Maybe it's a waste of time bothering with this - I just wanted to see if I was missing anything.
I've logged a support request.

I tried to purchase Theia a few times, using the Labour23, coupon. Each time I have had payment problems, with Paypal or credit card.
Please can Tracktion fix this AND HELP ME - please send me an email.
