Hi there,
I just bought Hive and Diva and I love it! Very smooth sound and Hive has endless possibilities!
The DAW I tested these in is Logic Pro on MacOS Ventura.
1. Hanging controls (in Logic only)
I noticed that from time to time, one of the dials will just hang and lock the whole UI but only for a split second. It happens every once in a while and I haven't been able to get behind what may cause it in which situation except that it only happens inside Logic!
2. Whenever I open the Wavetable tab and attempt to load a user wavetable, It just gives me a saw wave. No matter what Wavetable I choose, it only plays the saw. To fix this, I always have to go to the top left, select a normal waveform and then select "wavetable" again - and then it loads the user wavetable.
Is this a problem with MacOS permissions maybe?
Thanks in advance!
Robert

About your first issue, the hanging controls.
Do you have the autosave feature enabled in Logic, so it automatically saves the project file after a set time?
If so, then that explains the hanging UI. It's a bug in Logic/Mainstage/GarageBand we reported to Apple some time ago. This can happen with any plugin, not just with ours. If you try to adjust a parameter in a plugin GUI at the exact moment Logic initiates the autosave, the UI will hang shortly, the duration of the hang depends on the used plugin.
About your second issue, does this happen after you loaded the init preset?
There is a quirk that was introduced in newer macOS versions that only affects AU plugins. If you load the init preset right after loading the plugin, some GUI elements are not instantly set to the correct new value. So if the oscillator used the wavetable before, the init preset will switch to the saw wave but the GUI will still display the wavetable controls.
To avoid this, simply touch one parameter (doesn't matter which one) in the GUI before you load the init preset. Then all GUI elements will reset correctly. This will be fixed in the next Hive update.

Thanks for the hints! I checked this out and turned off autosave in the Logic settings - but to no avail. The hanging still occurs
But it seems Logic indeed has a lot of weird issues with plugins - while I was testing around with another plugin, I wasn't even able to save a patch as the keyboard focus had been locked away and I couldn't enter the patch name. Luckily, this does not happen with Zebra, Hive and the likes though. Seems like Apple still has some fixing to do. I don't even dare to update to Sonoma at this point...
About the Wavetable problem: I did launch Hive fresh and it already presents itself with the Wavetable issue. Doing a right-click on the patch name and doing an "init" doesn't help either. I can only solve this by choosing a "regular" wave or loading another patch and then doing an init again.
Thanks, I am looking forward to your bugfix!
Cheers,
Robert
