I assume (in the absence of anything stating otherwise) that to get steeper slopes in the Pass filters that we string multiple filters together. In other words, to get a 36 dB/oct LP, the algorithm contains "3 lp(...whatever...)" - or "# lp(...whatever...)" with # = 3.

However, for higher values of #, starting with just 3, I'm seeing some pretty ugly results. In the image below, we see a plot of noise treated by the Equalizer module (in MXXX). The selected slope is 36 dB/oct and the Q value is about half way. This is just what you would expect.

The lower image is the TurboFilter module with algorithm "# lp(f, q)" and # = 3. the Q setting is again about half way. There appears to be some nasty comb-filtering happening.

Clearly the Q appears to be higher in the lower image, although the settings in both cases were very close to 50%. In any case, I couldn't make the equalizer module misbehave no matter what the Q setting was.

So, is this a problem, or am I expecting too much of the chained lp modules?

P.S. How do I turn off the tool-tip mini-windows in the Analyzer module. I thought I know how, but couldn't find a way to accomplish that.

It needs to be "#lp(f;q)" and (notice the semicolon) and seems working fine with the newest version. Just contact me via email if you are struggling with it.
